Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met November 21, 2009 with Susan Spencer, Karen Hughes, Jean Neal, Pat Lawson, and Dianne Bayless in attendance. We saw a little of Ann Odom as she ran through on her way to other meetings.
Susan Spencer presented a demonstration of fan lace on the machine, Cheryl Sterling's way. Kudos to Cheryl for putting this lovely technique on the internet where we all can learn how to make a lovely fabric.
Susan Spencer thinks talking about herself in the third person is only a little creepy. She brought show-and-tell -- a scarf and a bag constructed of Lion Brand Ruffles yarn and a backing yarn, as described by, well, somebody on a blog. It's a fun technique, and it works up fast. I'll add the link to this page next time I see it.
Our next meeting will be the annual Christmas lunch. Watch your email for details! (Baby blankets are now due in January, not December. We hope to lighten our loads by procrastinating.)
