Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met May 23, 2009 with Barbara Meloy, Ann Odom, Paige Petty, Pat Lawson, Karen Hughes and Von deLoach in attendance.
Barbara Meloy led the group in this meeting to prepare for the June knit-in. She talked about how to do the yokes - how many rows total, how many rows in the design, how many to have plain for the decreases, and how to work with the floats. All were prepared to go hom and punch the card or enter the pattern into their machines.
Most of the group decided to knit a round yoke and insert it into a sweatshirt. Karen Hughes has some sweatshirts and will send out colors, sizes and a price. The only kind of sweatshirt that will work for this project is a raglan, which is hard to find.
The June meeting will be at Ann's house, June 26 & 27. Everbody do your homework so you're ready!
