Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met for a two-day knit in, June 26 and 27, 2009.
Due to a wide variety of circumstances, not a single one of us actually worked on the scheduled project!
Ann Odom found out Thursday that she needed a baby blanket for a shower gift, so she worked on that, with help from Jean Neal, who is the queen of double bed tuck! Dianne Bayless missed Friday, and worked on a baby blanket Saturday; we really need to hide her from everyone else when we want her to ourselves. I never got my homework done, so worked on a shawl from Knitwords #49. Karen Hughes and Barbara Meloy worked on getting a Garter Carriage working. Von deLoach and Paige Petty worked on hand projects. Some who thought they'd be able to come ended up having to cancel after all.
While none of us worked on what we were "supposed" to, all of us spent the time knitting, comparing notes, combing through yarn, magazines and books, eating great food and laughing with our friends. Who could ask for a better weekend?
The July meeting will be at Ann's house, July 24. Barbara Meloy will be giving us tips and tricks for working with small tools.
HAPPY KNITTING!
