Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met July 25, 2009 with Dianne Bayless, Susan Spencer, Barbara Meloy, Karen Hughes, Jean Neal, Pat Lawson, Paige Petty, Joni Ems, and Von DeLoach in attendance.
Barbara Meloy saved the day when we couldn't get inside our regular meeting play (whose owner, Ann, was out of town). Barbara invited us to take a quick ride to her place instead. Barbara then presented us with a large number of small tools invaluable to the machine knitter. Scroll down for pictures and a few of her tips.
Joni Ems of Mississippi joined us for the meeting. Joni is an extremely accomplished machine knitter who also owned a shop at one time. Joni brought several items for show-and-tell, including a new-to-her Knitten-Kitten with work attached! We think Joni might be joining us often, at least until she finds enough MKers for a group in her area!
Von DeLoach had no idea that even in the confusion of changing venues, we were sneaking in her birthday party! We had a lovely potluck lunch with ice cream cake afterwards. Happy Birthday, Von!
August's meeting will be August 22, 2009 at Ann's house. Ann will be demonstrating the color changer.
HAPPY KNITTING!
Susan
